MSS EXPANDS MARITIME OPERATIONS WITH ADDITION OF NEW VESSEL “BARRIER” FOR MALÉ-COLOMBO ROUTE

MSS (Maldives State Shipping) proudly announces the deployment of the container vessel “Barrier” for its Colombo – Malé feeder service. The Barrier arrived in Malé on 23 March 2024. This strategic addition brings significant enhancements to MSS’s operations, offering increased tonnage, capacity, and efficiency to meet the growing demands of maritime trade between Sri Lanka and the Maldives.

The introduction of the “Barrier” marks a pivotal moment in MSS’s commitment to providing top-tier shipping solutions while bolstering regional connectivity. Operating on a 10-day scheduled service between Colombo and Malé, this vessel sets a new standard for reliability and performance in the region.
